Where are you located?

  • Our main office is located at the intersection of Oak Lawn & Maple just west of downtown Dallas, on the fifth floor of the Observer building. Our field staff is located at several elementary and middle school campuses throughout the city.  Check out our Contact page for phone, fax and email information.

What kind of programs do you offer?

  • Our programming is centered around creative learning for children and families in-school, out-of-school and in the community.

Library Live!:
Who is the Library Live! artist this month?  What program will the artist be doing?  When is the program?

  • Check your email for the contract confirmation we sent to you. Your contract confirmation will have the general title of the program at the top of the page. Some of the artists will have more than one program. The artist will determine the specific program they will perform depending on the program they last presented at a library. Your contract confirmation email will also have the date and time of the Library Live! program coming to your branch.

How long are the Library Live! programs? 

  • The programs are 30 minutes in length.

What is the age range for Library Live! programs?

  • Big Thought partners with the Dallas Public Library to ensure that the elements of Every Child Ready to Read at Dallas are incorporated into our artists’ artistic programs. The targeted age range is from 0 to 5 years.

Where do I send the monthly evaluation form?

  • You should complete the monthly evaluation survey online once you receive the email prompt. If you have not received the email prompt, please let us know.

Where can I find your programs? How can I order one?

What types of programs do you offer?
Our artists offer residencies, master classes, Solo/Duo performances and Performance Plus programs.  Read on for more details:

  • A residency is a sequential series of classroom visits by an individual artist that helps students gain proficiency in a particular art form.
  • A master class is a one-time interactive demonstration of an arts discipline by an individual artist.
  • Solo/Duo performances are designed for smaller groups in more intimate spaces. These programs focus on student participation and creative involvement.
  • Performance Plus programs are highly participatory performances of music, dance, theater or interrelated arts presented in the school auditorium, followed by a maximum of 13 hands-on workshops in the classroom. Performances combine entertainment, education about the art form and information about curriculum subjects.

Can Young Audiences programs be modified to connect to a particular subject?

  • Yes! Most residency artists can modify their programs to meet a specific curriculum area. Call 214.520.9988 for more information.

Do Young Audiences programs relate to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)?

  • Yes, they do. Big Thought staff and artists have worked together to ensure that programs support curriculum objectives and testing standards. You can view the specific TEKS associated with each program in the program descriptions.

Are there additional costs than those listed in the online catalogue for programs?

  • Mileage or a fuel surcharge will be added based on your school's location.

What is a supply fee?

  • In some classes, the program requires a supply fee per student which is listed with the pricing information below each program description.

How do I get to ArtBiz?

  • Click on this ArtBiz link and choose the Dallas ArtsPartners ArtBiz. You can also get to ArtBiz via the homepage; it is in the left-hand navigation menu. 

How do I create a user account?

  • Go to the Dallas ArtsPartners ArtBiz and click on register; enter a username and password and follow the remaining directions.  Make sure you know your invitation code, because that is how your account gets associated with your school.

I’ve forgotten my password.  What do I do?

  • You may submit a request to reset your password using the password reset feature on the login page; you will receive an email with a new password after you click submit.  If you cannot remember your username, please call ArtsPartners staff at 214.520.0023 or email us and we will help you out.

Are there any more ArtsPartners funds this school year?

  • No, there are no remaining funds, and there will not be a re-allocation this school year.
