During School Day, After School, Summer
Residency, Other, On Campus Program

This workshop is a fun way to make handicrafts from yarn, embroidery thread, lanyard thread, beads, and finishing hooks. Working with thread increases hand/eye coordination, persistence, and the ability to follow instructions, and I can work with different grade levels at the same times. The program starts out with basic knotted style friendship bracelets and moves daily to harder projects to make more intricate designs. Instruction in the various styles depends on the amount of time available and pace of the students in the classroom. All work is started in class with instruction and students can take home projects to finish. This program is very flexible with time and attendance. New students can attend after the first class has started.
