Stained Glass with Laura Strother, Professional Development for Adults
During School Day, After School, Summer, Weekend
Residency, On Campus Professional Development, Off Campus Professional Development
Prof. Dev., Community/Fam.
In this introductory program to glass, Laura gives adults a brief history of the origin of glass and how it is made. She instructs adults how to design and create their own stained glass project or group stained glass project using professional materials. Adults will get continuing education through Laura's smooth incorporation of information through hands-on activities that teach chemistry, abstract realistic design, proportion, scale, and how they relate to stained glass. Adults will have the opportunity to work with glass tools used for cutting and shaping to make artwork from individual sketches. This class offers a colorful, fun, and satisfying artistic experience that adults create from start to finish and are proud to take home or display. This class is a wonderful opportunity for adults and teachers to learn a new medium. No prior glass experience is necessary.
