Description

Grades K -2 and 3- 5 Of all the judgments you make in life, none is as important as the one you make about yourself. The difference between low self-esteem and high self-esteem is the difference between passivity and action, between failure and success. Self-confident and assertiveness are two skills that are crucial for success in life. If you don’t feel worthy, and/or you don’t know how to express your self-worth when communicating with others, life can be very painful. I can't run the fastest I can't swim the sea I can't type the quickest but I love being me I can't kick a ball or even climb a tree I can't roll in the grass but I still love being me This activity-driven program will improve the way students think and feel about themselves because they will have an understanding of what assertiveness and self-confidence mean (in general and to them personally) and how to develop those feelings in their day-to-day lives. “Why would you want to be someone that you are not- When you could be better by being yourself. Why pretend to walk in someone else’s shoes- When you have something they haven’t got. Our 55 minute age- appropriate program will provide students with interactive skills and strategies that will assist students in becoming self-confident and self-assertive. Role play, Poems, short stories, music, drawing, and oral expressions to scenarios will be used to enhance the concepts.
