Bringing imagination into the classroom
Studying the arts—both experiencing and creating—has a significant impact on a child’s intellectual, personal and social development. Thriving Minds worked with Dallas Independent School District to develop a new curriculum that gives every elementary school student 45 minutes each of visual arts and music every week from trained instructors. We’ve also worked to integrate the arts into the general classroom as an alternative. More.

Building learning pathways in out-of-school time
More than half of what today’s youth learn takes place outside a traditional school setting. Many studies show that students who participate in quality, structured after-school and summer programs get better grades, show fewer at-risk behaviors and benefit from positive relationships with peers and other caring adults. To ensure children have access to quality creative learning after school, and during weekends and summer, Thriving Minds is focusing on expanding out-of-school time opportunities across the city. Thriving Minds in Action
© Big ThoughtWe've worked with a lot of different organizations and individuals over the last few years building the Thriving Minds system. Here's what some have said:

"It feels like I got my child back."

"The expressions on [the students'] faces, the excitement in their voices...is what makes this so rewarding."
