Big Thought Receives Surprise Donation From French Fashion House Louis Vuitton To Honor 200 Years of Creative Artistry

Louis Vuitton donates to 15 arts-education organizations around the world to celebrate 200 years since the birth of French fashion designer Louis Vuitton

DALLAS, TX, June 1, 2022 — Big Thought, an impact education nonprofit, announces it has received a charitable donation for an undisclosed sum from inventive fashion brand Louis Vuitton. Louis Vuitton distributed donations to 15 arts-education organizations, spread across 13 different countries and five continents as part of its “Louis 200” initiative, an artistic campaign to celebrate the bicentennial of Louis Vuitton’s birthday.

The luxury French fashion house pledged to make contributions to various organizations that foster creativity among young people, specifically those from underserved communities.

“We want to send a big thank you to Louis Vuitton and its investment in igniting creativity in our young creators,” says Byron Sanders, president and CEO of Big Thought. “It’s an honor to be recognized by a brand with such an artistic legacy while we enable our youth to dream big and find inspiration through creative industries like fashion and design.”

As an impact nonprofit, Big Thought exists with the generous support of its partners, employee contributions, community business donations, grants, and individual supporters.
