ARTIVISM: Art as Activism

This spring, middle and high school students from Dallas middle and high schools and youth development programs worked together to create the artivism mural to advocate for change and reflect on social and racial justice issues. Poetry and personal narratives were recorded and incorporated via QR codes into a large scale mural that was painted on fence posts. The multimedia art installation will tour a variety of public spaces to speak truth to power!

The mural debuted at The Dallas Festival of Ideas on Saturday, April 29th, 2017.
