Now, were one of six community partnerships in the U.S helping scale national best practices in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). We take direct-to-youth programs and resources to communities with the greatest needs and share our evidence-based best practices with other nonprofits and organizations through a suite of consultation services including professional development, curriculum design and technical assistance.

About the Ideal Candidate

This person has strong analytical skills to effectively access organizational trends and design training that educates and inspires change. They are an influencer committed to enhancing an employee’s skill, knowledge, and competencies, resulting in better performance in the workplace.

What the Role entails:

  • Instructional Design methodology
  • Assessment and diagnosis of trend data
  • Familiarization with learning models, i.e., ADDIE
  • Advanced presentation/facilitation skill set
  • Develop a long-term Strategic Plan for L&D
  • Advanced critical thinking skills
  • Develop and produce reports, documents, etc.
  • Influence and Persuasion
  • Design and conduct simulations
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence (EQ)
  • Demonstrate Culture Competency
  • Develop, update BT job descriptions
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Connect learning to Career Pathing
  • Develop evaluative tools
  • Build rapport with employees and vendors

Minimum Qualifications

  • Related academic achievement
  • 2-4 years’ experience
  • Familiarization with non-profits
  • Understanding of learning models

Additional Requirements

    • Must have reliable transportation
  • Clear and concise communication (oral/written)
  • Self-starter
  • High comfort level with changing priorities

Physical Expectations (not an exhaustive list):

Big Thought jobs are hands-on and can be physically demanding. To perform the duties of these roles successfully, you may regularly be required to: sit, stand, or stare at a computer screen for long periods of time; participate in external activities; use various office equipment, some manual; work in an environment with loud sounds, multiple distractions, and interruptions; be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures on occasion; maintain emotional control during stressful situations.
