Manage all communication issues across Big Thought to ensure branding is representative of the Big Thought vision and strategy both internally and externally. This may include appropriate collateral as well as all social media outlets in a consistent manner.

We take direct-to-youth programs and resources to communities with the greatest needs and share our evidence-based best practices with other nonprofits and organizations through a suite of consultation services including professional development, curriculum design and technical assistance.

About the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will broadly align and communicate BT’s (and peer brands) marketing strategy across all communication initiatives.

What the Role entails:

  • Establishing a quality brand presence for content design for both digital and traditional branding efforts.
  • Identify and deliver engagement opportunities to promote community partnerships, donor, and customer support.
  • Research and implement new outlets to refine communication processes that drive website traffic and market best practices.
  • Manage portfolio of organizational workflows and identify opportunities to enhance our image.
  • Create and/or manage external-facing copy from various departments.
  • Coordinate with internal clients and outside vendors as appropriate.
  • Develop strategies to engage your participation.
  • Assist with public and partner events.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in directly related job duties
  • Knowledge in content management system software and tools
  • Working knowledge of video and graphic editing software for PC and/or MAC
  • Related Bachelor’s degree a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Additional Requirements

    • Ability to periodically work irregular hours (evenings/weekends)

Big Thought jobs are hands-on and can be physically demanding. To perform the duties of these roles successfully, you may regularly be required to: sit, stand, or stare at a computer screen for long periods of time; participate in external activities; use various office equipment, some manual; work in an environment with loud sounds, multiple distractions, and interruptions; be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures on occasion; maintain emotional control during stressful situations.
