About the Role

A Big Thought Coordinator may be assigned to varying tasks as needed to support the administration and advancement of day-to-day business operations within a specific project or program.

About the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role has evidence of their ability to bring the different elements and stakeholders of a multi-agency, public-private project into a sequence that ensures efficiency and harmony. Their exceptional communication skills bring clarity to all stakeholders. The most minute detail does not escape their attention. They develop strong relationships and understand the importance of setting and meeting deadlines. They are continually deepening and accelerating changes, whether anticipated or unexpected, to ensure project success. They are future-oriented critical thinkers that have experience in taking a project from ideation to implementation.

What the Role Entails
  • Lead the day-to-day administration operations of an assigned department

  • Assist with planning and activities that may include recruitment for several CV programs

  • May be assigned to other programming implementation projects

  • Refer clients/partners to appropriate resources

  • Organize and maintain staff files and training records

  • Infuse inclusion and equity in all aspects of the position

  • High degree of EQ (emotional intelligence)

  • Responsible for financial transactions involving the purchase of supplies, etc.

  • Coordinate and manage the collection of data/reports/files

  • Demonstrate cultural awareness

  • May be assigned to other programs

  • May assist with budget preparation and /or input budget items for special and routine programs

  • Produce reports, documents, etc. as needed by staff

  • Proficient in multi-tasking and/or shifting priorities
  • Advanced technology knowledge and/or aptitude
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent related experience required
  • Experience leading or supervising beneficial
  • Experience in a non-profit
  • Excellent customer service skills
Additional Requirements:
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • High comfort level with changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Must consent to a thorough background check
  • Proficiency in current IT-based technology
  • Self-starter

Physical Expectations (not an exhaustive list):

To perform the duties of these roles successfully, you may regularly be required to: sit, stand, or stare at computer screen for long periods of time; participate in external activities; use various office equipment, some manual; work in environment with loud sounds, multiple distractions, and interruptions; be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures on occasion; maintain emotional control during stressful situations.
