Chief Executive Officer – Full Time
Big Thought seeks an exceptional, visionary, and passionate CEO to lead the organization by working in deep collaboration with its local and national partners, the Board of Directors, and staff to advance its mission of closing the opportunity gap through accessible, high-quality educational programs.

Project Manager/Social Emotional Learning (SEL) – Full Time, Temporary
Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the Wallace Foundation SEL initiative grant and related implementation of Social Emotional Learning programming at selected elementary school sites. Project Manager will work with Dallas ISD SEL personnel and Big Thought staff to implement SEL initiative in-school and out-of-school time for students, teachers and families. Additionally, manager will work with key SEL implementation stakeholders, including Dallas Afterschool and City of Dallas Parks & Recreation.

Site Coordinator, Social Emotional Learning – Full Time, Temporary
Coordinator is responsible for a set of tasks and assignments related to The Wallace Foundation four-year SEL initiative grant, and implementation of SEL programming at an assigned Dallas ISD elementary school site. Coordinator will support campus out-of-school time (OST) programming delivered by either Big Thought or community partner organizations, and link in-school and OST SEL programs and efforts for students, teachers and families in order to provide well rounded SEL programming for the school year.

Program Director, The Fellowship Initiative – Full Time

The Fellowship Initiative (TFI) is a multiyear national program developed by JPMorgan Chase Philanthropy to expand opportunities for African American, Latino, and other young men of color. TFI’s mission is to help these young men acquire the skills, knowledge, experience, networks, and other resources they need to succeed academically and professionally. JPMorgan Chase has selected Big Thought as their partner to bring this three year initiative to Dallas. The Program Director will be responsible for critical activities to build this network.

Professional Development Project Manager – Part Time, Temporary
Collaborate with the Director of Professional Development to design and implement all professional development seminars for Big Thought summer programming.

Campus Program Manager
Responsible for overseeing the delivery of Dallas City of Learning efforts directly related to Dallas ISD’s Summer Camp programming, including staffing, compliance, and logistics. Ensure the successful delivery of enrichment programming at elementary and middle school summer camps on nine campuses.

Community Program Manager
Responsible for overseeing the delivery of Dallas City of Learning efforts directly related to Dallas ISD’s Summer Camp and community neighborhood programming. Leadership areas include building partner relationships in a neighborhood, staffing support, data collection and reporting. Ensure the successful delivery of enrichment programming at elementary school and community summer sites.

Development Operations Specialist
The Development Operations Specialist will be responsible for the donor relationship process including cultivation and recognition of new donors, as well as developing strategies for retention of current donors. This position will also manage the implementation and maintenance of Big Thought’s Salesforce donor database and ensure proper reporting to donors, funders, Big Thought staff, and Board members.

Project Manager
The Project Manager is responsible for maintaining a comprehensive view of the Program Department, facilitating the exchange of information, developing project plans, and communicating and managing the plans to desired implementation results.

Programs and Production Assistant
This role is responsible for providing logistical and administrative support to Program Department programs and initiatives.

Volunteer Manager
This role is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of a volunteer program including selecting, training, engaging, and supervising volunteers to support the Big Thought mission.

Special Programs Coordinator – Part Time, Temporary
Coordinate all special programs, including field trip experiences, for Big Thought’s summer programs. Programs will consist of, but are not limited to: Summer Achievers’ Academy at Dallas ISD, 3 Week Enrichment Camps at Dallas ISD, and Garland ISD Summer Camp. This position will coordinate a set of tasks and assignments related to special programs and field trip experiences including, but not limited to:

  • Internal and External Partner Communications (related to special programs)
  • Organization and Tracking
  • Local travel
