Let’s Read: SEL Dallas Book Club – Let The Children March by Monica Clark-Robinson

Enjoy a live book reading session of “Let The Children March” by Monica Clark-Robinson. “The path may be long and troubled, but I’m gonna walk on!” In 1963 Birmingham, Alabama, thousands of African American children volunteered to march for their civil rights after hearing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. speak. They protested the laws that kept Black people separate from white people. Facing fear, hate, and danger, these children used their voices to change the world.”

Specialists from SEL Dallas will read aloud and facilitate social and emotional learning questions for learners during and following the book.

Readings will take place at 9am and 1pm via a secure Zoom link, which will be shared in your confirmation email.

You can purchase your own copy of the book from online book sellers or access digital copies from your local library.
