Big Thought Receives Recognition as “Organization of the Year” as Part of D CEO’s 2022 Nonprofit and Corporate Citizenship Awards

D CEO recognizes 126 North Texas nonprofit organizations and corporations for the 2022 Nonprofit and Corporate Citizenship Awards. 

DALLAS — JULY 21, 2022 — D CEO has named Big Thought as a finalist in the large-scale “Organization of the Year” category as part of the 2022 Nonprofit and Corporate Citizenship Awards. This award is presented in partnership with the Communities Foundation of Texas. One hundred and twenty-six organizations were selected as finalists out of nearly 500 submissions, including both nonprofit leaders in education and corporate leaders in sustainability.

As an impact nonprofit, Big Thought works to close the opportunity gap by equipping all youth with the skills and tools they need to imagine and create their best lives and world. The organization exists to facilitate a brighter future for youth that have historically been held back at the starting line. From in-house programs, community partnerships and program consulting and design, Big Thought empowers and equips youth to ‘Create Great.’ 

Big Thought serves Dallas youth through thousands of hours of programming each year. The organization does tangible, on-the-ground work to empower youth and close the opportunity gap with an unwavering commitment to equity in all community learning spaces.

All final award recipients will be featured in D CEO’s August issue and will be honored at an awards event on July 21 where winners in each category will be revealed.
