Updates regarding COVID-19

Promoting safe, happy and healthy learning environments for all staff, students and partners is a top priority for Big Thought. As local and national concern for health and safety around COVID-19 grows, we are closely monitoring the guidelines and strategies recommended by the Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organization to help minimize the risk this virus poses to our students, educators, partners and our North Texas community.

The Big Thought headquarters will be closed through Sunday, April 5 as our staff work from home.

All professional travel has been put on hold for March and April.

Events and Programs:

The following upcoming events have been cancelled and the appropriate students, staff and partners are being notified:

  • TFI programming, remainder of March
  • Library Out Loud programming, through end of April
  • Artivism Exhibit, March 21
  • DaVerse Lounge, March 27
  • I Read to Lead, March 28
  • DaVerse Lounge, April 24
  • Night of SEL with Arne Duncan, April 27
  • Summer KICKS Professional Development Conference, May 12

In collaboration with our community partners and sites, programming is cancelled for the following:

  • Programming at Evening Reporting Center
  • Programming at Incarnation House

For Thriving Minds After School, we are collaborating with and monitoring the status of our district partners in order to make preparations and modifications to program delivery models in these unique times.
