For Our Learners
When you create boldly and dream big, you’re bound to accomplish great things! Do you want to be an animator, biomedical engineer or high school teacher? Maybe you’ve thought about being a game designer, pastry chef at an international hotel or fashion designer? Or maybe an astronaut, author or entrepreneur and run your own business? All of these career options are possible — if it’s in your imagination, it’s possible! Imagination helps you build your creativity, understand your emotions, develop social skills and shape your unique voice!
We design and deliver high quality programs to best equip our learners with the resources you need to thrive in an ever-changing society. We have programs for nearly every age of youth, so take a look to see which program is most fitting for you!

Our learners are the reason behind everything we do at Big Thought. Check out these stories from youth in our community that have been empowered to discover their own greatness.
Christian is a Creative Solutions student who worked with us for more than six years. Through the program, Christian found his voice, his platform and a way to harness his emotions in positive ways.
The learners of our Artivism program get to share stories in many creative ways. This brief video was produced as an invite to a gallery opening. Watching this, you can get a sense of the power in our students’ voices.
Learners who participate in Dallas City of Learning get to do all kinds of cool things, including reading to shelter animals. Reading helps the animals improve their behavioral development through socialization and engagement.
Students who participate in The Fellowship Initiative get to visit colleges to experience what it’s like to be on campus and get a front row seat to lectures and other events. One class got to visit the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
For many students, DaVerse Lounge is a safe haven for self-expression. This student was able to use his spoken word performance at DaVerse Lounge to share his perceptions on the inward and outward manifestations of love.

BIG THOUGHT is a nonprofit that works to provide our learners with the skills and tools you need to imagine and create your best lives and a better world.
