CREATE BOLDLY.
DREAM BIG.

For Our Learners

Our commitment

When you create boldly and dream big, you’re bound to accomplish great things! Do you want to be an animator, biomedical engineer or high school teacher? Maybe you’ve thought about being a game designer, pastry chef at an international hotel or fashion designer? Or maybe an astronaut, author or entrepreneur and run your own business? All of these career options are possible — if it’s in your imagination, it’s possible! Imagination helps you build your creativity, understand your emotions, develop social skills and shape your unique voice!

Program Opportunities For You

At Big Thought, one of our core goals is to empower youth to build your creative muscle. We do this in a variety of ways, but oftentimes this includes creating visual art forms. See some of the amazing work that learners just like you have created!

Want to share your Big Thought experience and work for our portfolio? We’d love to hear from you!

What to Expect – FAQs

Being a learner at Big Thought means you will be empowered to achieve the greatness that already exists within you. Our programs are designed to help you imagine and create your best life and world.

Take a look at our FAQs to learn more about what to expect as learner at Big Thought:

BIG THOUGHT is a nonprofit that works to provide our learners with the skills and tools you need to imagine and create your best lives and a better world. We never want you to believe that greatness is supposed to look, act or be a certain way. Greatness is inside all of us and Big Thought wants to empower you to find that greatness.

Most of our programs are free of charge to our learners, although some Thriving Minds and Dallas City of Learning events may have minimal fees. Be sure to have your parent or caregiver check the registration form of the program you are interested in to learn more. Our programs and services are designed to build your creative muscle, in after school, during school and summer learning opportunities. Together, with our partners and supporters, we are able to give our youth access to these learning experiences.

Each Big Thought program has its own participation guidelines and requirements. The programs that you and your parents have direct access to sign up for are the Thriving Minds After School and Dallas City of Learning summer enrichment activities and programs.

Please coordinate sign-ups for these programs with your parent or caregiver!
