At Big Thought, one of our core goals is to empower youth to build your creative muscle. We do this in a variety of ways, but oftentimes this includes creating visual art forms. See some of the amazing work that learners just like you have created!

What is Big Thought?
BIG THOUGHT is a nonprofit that works to provide our learners with the skills and tools you need to imagine and create your best lives and a better world. We never want you to believe that greatness is supposed to look, act or be a certain way. Greatness is inside all of us and Big Thought wants to empower you to find that greatness.
Do Big Thought programs cost money for me?
Most of our programs are free of charge to our learners, although some Thriving Minds and Dallas City of Learning events may have minimal fees. Be sure to have your parent or caregiver check the registration form of the program you are interested in to learn more. Our programs and services are designed to build your creative muscle, in after school, during school and summer learning opportunities. Together, with our partners and supporters, we are able to give our youth access to these learning experiences.
Do I qualify and sign-up for Big Thought programs?
Each Big Thought program has its own participation guidelines and requirements. The programs that you and your parents have direct access to sign up for are the Thriving Minds After School and Dallas City of Learning summer enrichment activities and programs.
Please coordinate sign-ups for these programs with your parent or caregiver!

Can I do more than one program at one time?
Yes. You can participate in as many programs that are available to you and your schedule will allow.
Do I have to enroll for a Big Thought program through my school or can I enroll through Big Thought directly?
Most of our programs are through designated school campuses and your school will communicate directly with you regarding scheduling and availability. To find out if your campus is participating in one of these campus-specific programs, check out the page for Thriving Minds.
The programs that you and your parents have direct access to sign up for are Artivism, The Fellowship Initiative (coming Spring 2020) and Dallas City of Learning summer enrichment activities programs.

How do I know if my school offers Big Thought programs or not?
Some Big Thought programs are offered at specific campuses. To find out if your school is a participating Thriving Minds campus check out the page for Thriving Minds
Additionally, some summer camps through Dallas City of Learning are location based. You can find out what camps will be available at dallascityoflearning.org.
How does Big Thought help prepare me for my future?
Big Thought is here to help prepare you for further education, work and life. We use programs and learning systems that cultivate creativity, develop social and emotional learnings skills and assist you in developing your own voice. We believe these skills will help assist you in developing your options and empower you to navigate real life changes.
