About the Role

The Project Manager, Impact & Data will manage and advance the organization’s assessment, evaluation, and research activities and suggest improvements to advance learning.

About the Ideal Candidate

Can work independently and has the ability to work to strict deadlines; a high level of numerical and mathematical ability; has an inquisitive and statistical driven approach to all tasks, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and persuade.

What the Role Entails
  • Provide analysis of data to inform internal and external stakeholders on the impact of the organization’s activities for continuous improvement efforts.
  • Manage a portfolio of current and potential research studies, carrying out technical functions and participate in field work, such as data collection, capacity building, program monitoring, and/or research/evaluation design.
  • Manage all aspects of one or more evaluation and/or assessment projects for internal and external areas.
  • Coordinate data collection efforts to avoid redundancy and ensure completeness.
  • Tracks progress against milestones, guidelines, or other performance indicators.
  • Manage and contribute to the full scope of evaluation & assessments activities, including impact evaluations, rigorous outcome performance evaluations, literature reviews, evidence reviews, toolkit development, and data analytics/visualizations.
  • Position will work with staff and external partners to establish and maintain an overview of the data management activities and will actively recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Utilize project management methods/technology.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’sdegreerequired.
  • Certifications in statistics, research & evaluation, and/or data sciences a plus.
  • Certification in project management a plus.
  • 5 years’ experienceinresearch, program evaluation, and/orproject managementpreferred.
  • Strong interest and familiarity with applied research/statistics and program design and evaluation a plus.
  • Infuse inclusion and equity in all aspects of position.
  • High degree of EQ (emotional intelligence).

    Physical Expectations (not an exhaustive list):

    Big Thought jobs are hands on and can be physically demanding. To perform the duties of these roles successfully, you may regularly be required to: sit, stand, or stare at computer screen for long periods of time; participate in external activities; use various office equipment, some manual; work in environment with loud sounds, multiple distractions, and interruptions; be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures on occasion; maintain emotional control during stressful situations.
