Gigi Antoni Honored by Dallas Historical Society

We are so proud of our President and CEO Giselle “Gigi” Antoni. The Dallas Historical Society honored her with the Arts Leadership award as part of the Society’s 2015 Awards for Excellence (AFE) in Community Service. The awards were presented during the 34th annual AFE luncheon Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, at the Fairmont Hotel.

Antoni’s beautiful etched-glass award celebrates her as an “individual who has enriched the cultural life of Dallas as a planner, organizer, fundraiser, collector or art historian,” as detailed by the Dallas Historical Society Board of Trustees. She is among a select group of honorees praised for their civic leadership, their robust generosity, and their ability to encourage community-wide participation around a cause that promotes citywide growth.

Dressed in an elegant combination of striking colors atop a solid black background, Antoni was humbled by the prestigious honor and offered sincere words of thanks to all who support her and our work here at Big Thought.

“It is because of your investment – whether volunteer, contributor or advocate – that Big Thought has excelled as a leader in the arts and continues to propel in our one audacious goal: to close the opportunity gap through creative learning,” says Antoni. “We value your optimism and belief in the potential of our youth. I just can’t say it enough – thank you!”
