LeAnn Binford
Director of Consulting Services, Big Thought Institute
As Director of Consulting Services, LeAnn Binford leads the organization’s efforts to provide technical expertise for external organizations and agencies. LeAnn and the Institute work to provide professional learning, curriculum design and consultation services to help other non-profits and organizations teach, develop and create.
Prior to joining Big Thought, LeAnn worked as the director of education for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO), where she was an integral leader in establishing the citywide Learning Partners collaboration. A passionate advocate for creative education and lifelong learning and a Dallas ISD volunteer, LeAnn is deeply involved in education in the Dallas community. She is the past chair for the Arts Council at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing & Visual Arts, serves on the boards of Voices of Change Contemporary Classical Music Ensemble and Friends of Sidney Lanier Expressive Arts Vanguard, and is a part of the Education Committees of The Dallas Opera and Dallas Winds. A graduate of the arts management MA/MBA program at Southern Methodist University, LeAnn also holds bachelor and master of music degrees in piano performance from Texas Tech University.
